Have you ever wished that your Mac would update its location automatically on the basis of the network that you're currently connected to? Perhaps you use your Mac at work accessing the internet through a proxy server, and also at home where you have none. It isn't difficult to select a new location from the Location menu in the Apple menu, but why should you have to? Locamatic will do all this for you! Now on version 2.5, it’s Lion compatible and it can also set your default printer and your default home page.
Please Note Locamatic 2.5 and earlier is not compatible with Mountain Lion. If you want to use Locamatic with Mountain Lion (or newer versions of Mac OS X), please try the all-new and rewritten Locamatic 3. This is an early alpha version, with all that that entails, so please do not use it if you are unhappy with the idea that some of the software on your computer might be a little buggy. Locamatic 3 has the following known defects - Plugin functionality is not yet implemented. Licensing is vestigial at the moment, and will certainly change in the future. So why am I releasing software with known defects? Well, it works well enough for me day to day, and I've received a good many emails requesting that I update Locamatic for Mavericks. So, rather than keep you all waiting, here it is.
Sadly, I don't have the time to finish Locamatic 3.x - there are far too may other demands on my time. There are many people out there who do want it, who do use it, and who can really make it work for them. In light of this, I am open-sourcing Locamatic. You can get it here, on GitHub. Have fun - and be sure to read the license. I can't wait to see what you do with it.

Generate Licence Key
Locamatic 3 is currently Alpha quality software - and so I'm giving it away until it is good enough to sell. It's not going to stop working any time soon - but, in order to test the licensing functionality, you may want to generate a licence key. You can do that here.
After clicking 'Get Licence Key', the screen will refresh. Scroll down to this field and you will find your newly generated license details.
