Cookies aren't all bad. True, some will rot your teeth and others are used by popular websites to learn as much about you as possible so that they can sell it on to the highest bidder (Really. That's not just paranoia.)
45RPM Software isn't like that though. We're little, and we care about all of our customers (seriously - we don't have that many, and we can't afford to be careless and take you for granted.) So this is what we use our cookies for.
We use a cookie to tell us whether you've closed our cookie banner. Bizarre!
We use cookies to tell us whether you're signed in to the blog or support forums - that way you won't need to keep signing in each time you use them. If you're using a public computer, don't forget to log out after use!
Google Analytics may set cookies for tracking stats about usage of my website (not personally identifiable - this is in the general sense of people from the UK, people from France, people using Android, Mac or Linux etc.) I use Analytics to help me ensure that the website is scaled appropriately. It certainly doesn't contain any information about you personally.
Google Adsense may set cookies for advertising. In this case, the cookie will be associated with your Google account, not with 45RPM Software. You can change your settings with regard to tracking in your Google account settings. If you don't have a Google account then you don't have anything to worry about!
If you don't like us using cookies then I'm sorry. The only solution that I have is for you to go to another website instead (you can't opt out of our cookies). The problem is that those other websites will use cookies too - and some may not tell you about it (naughty naughty). Tell you what. Go and have a think about it. Make yourself a nice cup of tea and have a biscuit (that's a cookie in British English). Then come back here and have an explore - safe in the knowledge that, whilst we'll save cookies on your computer, we won't abuse you with them.
